Help for Families

Now that your loved-one is in rehab it is time for you to have a break. As much as you have been praying and begging your loved-one to get help, you will soon discover that you may need some help too. Addiction affects the whole family.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center encourages you to attend some local Al-Anon meetings. You should also use this first 30-days to heal and begin to restore your own sanity. Chaos becomes the "norm" in addictive relationships. It is time for you to learn some healthy habits and to create some healthy "boundaries" for yourself. There are a variety of options including "phone" meetings you can attend. Al-Anon is valuable for all sorts of addictions including, drugs and alcohol.

Your recovery is just as important as your loved-one in rehab.
