The Salvation Army ARC

Meet our Staff

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center has an experienced and dedicated staff to help men reach their full potential in life, family, work, and faith. With real-life experience in recovery, our staff members understand better than most, how to show the way to wholesome, practical spiritual renewal.

Classes, as well as, personal interaction assist each individual in developing a recovery plan leading to success in life's daily challenges.

While addiction recovery is a challenge, our balanced approach gives the beneficiary a real chance at success. Each individual must have reached a point that they are "sick and tired... of being sick and tired." We believe life change happens by the grace of God. Hard work at sobriety is what keeps us sober. With God's help, all things are possible!

Majors Erik & Carol Nickell

Administrator & Director of Special Services

Carol grew up in the Methodist church, and made a decision to fully surrender to Christ. The Nickell's met The Salvation Army just months later when the local Officer at the Venice Corps in Florida struck up a friendship with Erik. Shortly thereafter Lt. Baso was transferred to another Corps and the Nickell family made the Army their home church after being asked to help with a Harvest Festival hay ride. Two years later they attended the Salvation Army College for Officer Training and were commissioned in 1997 in the “Messenger’s of God’s Love” session.
